What will your coffee table be used for?
Before buying a table, ask yourself how you intend to use it. Is it for resting your feet after a long day? Dinner in front of the TV? Having friends over? Playing games? Working?

How far is the coffee table from the sofa?
Ideally, leave around 45 cm between your coffee table and the edge of the sofa. It’s the perfect distance to move around and also to reach the table without standing up.
